OMD - Forever Live And Die (12 Inch Extended Mix)

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Forever Live And Die Vinyl Sleeve
This is the original 12 inch extended mix from the 80s and features a very typical 80s sound. Released in 1986, the song reached #11 in the UK and also #19 on the U.S. Hot 100. It was the first track to be lifted from the album The Pacific Age. Two more songs were released from the album entitled We Love You and Shame, although they both failed to break the Top 40 in either the UK or America.

In fact, their musical career was a bit of a rollercoaster ride during the eighties. Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark achieved success with twelve British Top 40 singles overall during the 80s, their highest-charting single being Souvenir in 1981 - not a bad achievement!

However, they did make a comeback in 1991 with the release of their Sugar Tax album (I bought an official T-shirt at a concert in Milton Keynes!) with two Top Ten singles. The album was packed with catchy pop tunes and also a wonderful cover version of Kraftwerk's Neon Lights.

Check out the OMD page at my website Simply Eighties for more 80s videos and info.
